The following terms and conditions apply to purchases made from Sapphire Alarms using our
website and paying by credit/debit card. These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory
rights as a consumer.
Definitions
References to us, we, and the Seller means Sapphire Alarms.
References to you and the Buyer means the person or body purchasing the goods.
References to goods means any item, article or thing including downloadable items supplied
by us to you.
Working days excludes Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
Payment Payment for goods must be made before goods are despatched. Payment may be by cheque or Credit or Debit card. Credit and debit card payments are processed through the Worldpay
secure server.
Orders
Upon you placing an order and confirmation by us we are contracted to supply the goods ordered,
however we reserve the right to supply, where possible, substitute goods of a similar or better
quality at no extra cost. If the substitute products are not suitable then you may
return them to us at our expense. We will either refund the cost of the goods or supply altenative
goods as you request.
Pricing
Prices shown in the catalogue are inclusive of VAT. Postage Packing & Insurance is applied at the
checkout.
Delivery
Any time or date stated by us for the delivery of the goods is given as a forecast in the light of
prevailing conditions and is given and intended as an estimate only.
In the event that by any circumstance or reason beyond our reasonable control we are unable to
supply any goods within a reasonable period after the estimated date for delivery, the Seller and the
Buyer shall be entitled to cancel or withdraw from the contract, but the Seller shall not be liable for
any damage or loss whatsoever arising directly or indirectly out of such cancellation or withdrawal
or out of any non-delivery of goods.
Receipt of Goods
Immediately upon receipt of your goods, you should check the condition of the package received, if
it is obviously badly damaged such that you might expect the contents to be damaged or items
missing, you should reject the package and have it returned to sender but please ensure that the
return to address is clearly visible on the package.
If you accept the package and subsequently find that goods have been damaged in transit,
you should inform us immediately and return the damaged goods. We will either give you a
full refund (including postage) or replace the damaged products as you wish.
Order Cancellation (pre-despatch)
If, prior to despatch of ordered goods, you decide to cancel your order, you must inform us as soon
as possible by e-mail or telephone. The cancellation will only be effective once it has been
confirmed in writing or e-mail by us. If, after the goods have been despatched, you decide to cancel
your order, the conditions applying to Order Cancellation (post-despatch) shall apply.
Ownership of Goods
Legal ownership of the goods shall remain with us until full payment for the goods has been
received.
We reserve the right to refuse to accept orders from buyers who have not paid for goods
received.
Order Cancellation (post-despatch)
You have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days (cooling off period) of receipt of the
goods. We will refund the cost of the goods and the delivery charge within 30 days, however, we reserve the right to deduct a discretionary re-stocking fee which will not be greater than 10% of the Invoice total. To cancel an
order within the cooling off period you must inform us in writing including e-mail. The effective date
of cancellation is the date on which the written communication was sent. Notice of cancellation can
be sent by post or by hand to;

After exercising your right to cancel your order within the cooling off period, the ownership of
the goods reverts to us and you are under obligation to take reasonable care of any goods
that have been supplied, such that the goods can be sold as new again.
Upon cancellation you must return the goods to us in an as-new condition complete with
original packings and literature (manuals etc). You will be responsible for the cost of returning
the goods, except where substitute goods have been supplied or where the goods are
defective, in which case the cost will be borne by us. If you fail to return the goods within a
reasonable time we will arrange for direct recovery of the goods at your expense (note; this
will normally be more expensive than your returning the goods). In this case we will inform
you within 21 days as to when we are going to collect the goods.
