 Control Panels, RKPs & Proximity
The control panel is at the centre of any alarm system. There are two main classes of alarm control panel:
  • Stand-alone - panels have an on-board keypad.
  • Blank End-station - panels require a remote keypad (RKP)
Most Stand-alone control panels can have the facility to add one or more RKPs.

Blank end-stations are usually fitted covertly - e.g attic.
