Designing a Hard-wired Alarm System
The following form has been designed to assist in designing a Hard-wired alarm system. Ensure that you read the explanations relating to the various options. The Explanation links are to Pop-up windows, so please ensure you have Allow Pop-ups set on your browser.

When you have filled in the form, pressing SUBMIT will produce a results page. When you have your results page you can Print it or Save it and then, based on your options, choose the equipment.

Remember, all alarm systems have three main parts - Control Panel, Detectors, and Signalling. In Hard-wired Systems, any Control Panel can be used with any Hard-wired detectors and any form of hard-wired signalling devices.

Step 1 - The Control Panel
The first step in designing a Hard-wired alarm system is choosing the Control Panel. The following section will help determine the type of control panel for your system.

All control panels have most of the following features - refer to the individual panel specs for precise details.

More sophisticated Control Panels may have one or more of the following features - refer to the individual panel specs for precise details.
